Gringo Grande at 7:00 pm Boothill will take the stage at 9:00 pm
Admission is $5.00 – no outside food or beverages please! Blankets, chairs and kids are welcome!!!
Back Yard Boogie returns with powerful sounds from Gringo Grande and Boothill.
Gringo Grande is a Macon, GA. based, southern rock and roll band with a hint of folk and blues. The band was formed in Sept. of 2010 by Alex Sanders (Drums), Ross Destree (Guitar), George Greer (Guitar – Vocals), John Parris (Bass – Vocals), Randy Sanders (Harmonica) and Baxter James (Guitar – Vocals). John got accepted into the Navy Band to play Bass in August of 2011 and the band picked up Merle Arehart to take over the Bass gig. Ross and Baxter had been playing together for over 10 years before they started this band with some of the members from Atlanta’s Tron Jackson (George and Alex). They currently have one Album named “Cross-eyed in my prime”. The album can be downloaded for free on Facebook at GringoGrande as a substitute for an explanation as to how the music sounds.
Boot Hill is an eclectic collection of skilled musicians, playing aggressive country, classic rock, outlaw country, up-tempo southern covers, and original music. The band’s background is as diverse as the music they play, hailing from The Abby Owens Band, Stoopgrass, Bad Vision, Barrell House Ballers, Fresh Heat, and the Eddie Kirkland Band. Their individual musical influences range from The Who to Wilco to Johnny Cash. All the differences in background have combined onstage to form a cohesive group of guys who enjoy playing for ramblers, drinkers and everyone who likes live music.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Allman Brothers Band at The Big House.
