In addition to playing with ABB, Jaimoe backed many legendary musicians including Percy Sledge, Patti Labelle & the Blue Bells, Johnny Jenkins, and the Manhattans and many others.
Oakley was born in Chicago, IL, raised in the suburb of Park Forest, IL, then moved to Florida where he joined Dickey Betts’ band, The Second Coming. He was a founding member of ABB in 1969.
Dickey Betts, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, has one of the most distinctive voices in music today and is known as one of the most influential guitar players of all time.
One of Trucks’ first bands was local Jacksonville band The Vikings, who made one 7-inch record in 1964. Another early band was The 31st of February which formed and broke up in 1968.
